The DX5 II utilizes dual independent ESS ES9039Q2M DAC chips, delivering a higher signal-to-noise ratio, greater dynamic range, and lower distortion than the previous-generation DX5, delivering a more powerful high-definition audio experience.
It also features the X-Hybrid headphone amplifier circuit, a significant technological advancement over the previous-generation NFCA architecture. This new three-stage hybrid amplification design not only retains NFCA's ultra-low distortion and high dynamic range, but also significantly improves efficiency through optimized circuit topology, thereby reducing static power consumption and heat generation. Despite its compact size, the DX5 II boasts a fully balanced four-channel amplifier.
Powered by the QCC5125 chip, the DX5 II supports Bluetooth 5.1 and supports up to 96kHz/24-bit audio processing. It is fully compatible with LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX, aptX HD, AAC, SBC, and other audio codecs.
The DX5 II features a 6.35mm single-ended headphone jack, a 4.4mm balanced headphone jack, and a 4-pin XLR headphone jack, making it compatible with both low-sensitivity headphones and high-sensitivity in-ear headphones. Its low self-noise of 1.8µVrms ensures even the most sensitive in-ear headphones are immune to background noise interference. The DX5 II delivers a powerful 7600mW output per channel, allowing most headphones to reach their full performance potential.
TOPPING has developed a brand-new parametric EQ system with ten customizable bands. Its innovative PEQ algorithm, combined with desktop software, allows you to fine-tune the frequency, gain, and bandwidth of each PEQ band. The software supports importing both target and base curves, allowing you to use target curves for curve compensation. Multiple profiles can also be saved for easy switching between different setups. All outputs can be individually configured with PEQ, enabling precise tuning for both headphones and speakers. The DX5 II also features a preamplifier mode. In this mode, you can adjust the unit's output volume and connect it directly to a pure amplifier or active speakers without the need for an additional preamplifier. The DX5 II's input and output jacks feature a volume memory function that automatically restores the last set volume when switching outputs. This feature allows you to quickly return to your preferred listening environment.
