The DX1 II is an entry-level desktop box that integrates a DAC, headphone amplifier, headset voice control, and gaming tuning.

The DX1 II uses the ESS ES9039Q2M DAC chip, supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM; with the 10-band PEQ enabled, the sampling rate can drop to 192kHz. EQ is an equalizer used to adjust different frequency bands; PEQ is a parametric EQ with greater adjustment flexibility.

Headphone outputs include a 4.4mm balanced output and a 3.5mm TRRS (Note 4). TRRS is a common four-band headset connector that can process headphone sound and microphone signals simultaneously; the DX1 II's 3.5mm headphone jack is compatible with common CTIA headsets. The headphone amplifier section is a fully balanced architecture, with a rated power of 1000mW/channel @32Ω.

Connectivity is also more complete than the original DX1: both optical input and output are available, and the Line Out offers RCA single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs. Power is supplied via a USB-C bus (note 5), meaning it works with a simple USB connection and no external power adapter is required.
