Most audiophiles know the impact of "grounding" on sound, so a good grounding of the equipment can often make the music background darker and quieter, and the details more prominent. Therefore, many audiophiles will equip their systems with a ground box. KOJO Technology, a power expert from Aomori, Japan, has always maintained a very high standard from semiconductor production to medical-grade power equipment and even home audio power accessories. Among them, the classic ground box Force barEP has been improved and redesigned to launch the latest Crystal E Japanese ground box, pushing the sound quality to a higher level.
Redesigned multi-layer heterometallic structure
After redesign, the grounding surface area of the new Crystal E has increased by 1.75 times, and the effect is naturally better than before, becoming the favorite of many Japanese audio players.
Crystal E internal structure (new 8-layer heterometallic structure design)
The new design not only increases the surface area of each metal plate, but also leaves a 0.5mm gap between each metal plate, designed to be similar to a heat sink structure. The heterometallic structure has been upgraded from the previous 6-layer design of "copper/brass/copper/brass/copper/steel" to the 8-layer design of "stainless steel/brass/copper/brass/copper/brass/copper/brass", which is the key to the small Crystal E having a larger grounding area than before.
The shell material has also been upgraded. When it comes to the Crystal series, it is strengthened to a 2mm aluminum top cover and a 2mm steel bottom plate. The low center of gravity design makes the body more stable and helps improve the sound quality. It is packed in a simple shell, but it is full of technology and care.
Ground terminal enhances performance
The ground terminal of Crystal E uses an M4 stainless steel screw to fix the Y-shaped plug ground wire, which can be firmly connected with an ordinary cross screwdriver. There are two ground terminals on the body. In addition to connecting audio equipment, you can also connect more Crystal E in series to enhance the performance.
Dedicated ground wire for the machine
Crystal E comes with two 1.2-meter-long ground wires, RCA-Y and Y-Y, so you can instantly connect to audio equipment with analog input and output terminals such as home amplifiers. As for the Y-Y plug ground wire, it is used to connect to the housing of audio equipment without vacant RCA terminals, or equipment with GND terminals.
More refined music performance
Compared with its predecessor, Crystal E has a significant improvement in sound. In addition to eliminating noise to make the background darker and quieter, the mid/mid-low frequency human voices and musical instruments sound fuller and richer, the analytical power is significantly improved, and the sound contours are portrayed more cleanly and neatly. Whether it is classical music that pursues a magnificent sense of space, or lively and vivid Jazz, Rock, and Pop styles, they can be played more vividly.
Optional audiophile-grade Clone series ground wire
Clone 1XH
With the launch of Crystal E, KOJO also brings users two series of audiophile-grade ground wire options. Clone1 uses PC Triple-C as the conductor of high-quality audio ground wire. The gold-plated Y-shaped plug can improve the sound quality and prevent oxidation. The PET fabric outer skin is not easy to wear, making the cable more durable.
Clone2L
The more advanced Clone 2 uses 99.9999% ultra-high purity 6NCu copper wire as the main conductor, and is mixed with HiFC high-performance pure copper, PCUHD high-purity oxygen-free copper and OFC high-purity oxygen-free copper. It is KOJO's highest-end ground wire product. Both ground wires provide different plug combinations for purchase, which is convenient for connecting various audio equipment, and even 3.5mm, USB Type A, LAN RJ45 plug options, which are convenient for matching with DAP and network music players that are popular in recent years.
