Like all Cambridge products, the P100 has been designed and tuned at our own London music venue and headquarters, Melomania, by the passionate team behind our award-winning hi-fi equipment.
To ensure this high-end driver and industry-leading amplification technology can reach its full potential, the P100 combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound with aptX lossless wireless technology. This enables CD-quality wireless playback with no lossy compression. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) offers three selectable settings, effectively blocking out external noise that would otherwise interfere with the immersive listening experience, to provide the best user experience.
The P100 is equipped with a custom 10mm triple-layer premium Mylar high-end driver with cobalt magnets, and is paired with the Class AB amplification technology used on Cambridge's acclaimed CX series of hi-fi amplifiers to achieve incredible sound quality, providing deep and controlled bass, lifelike vocals and clear and beautiful highs.
To ensure that this high-end driver and industry-leading amplification technology can reach its full potential, the P100 is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Sound and aptX Lossless wireless technologies. This allows wireless playback to be presented in the form of CD sound quality without any distortion compression.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) offers three user-selectable settings to provide the best user experience.
Customizable sound
Out of the box, the P100 delivers the acclaimed Cambridge sound - transparent and natural, bringing you closer to the music without distortion. But everyone is different, not only with different tastes, but also with different ways of listening. That’s why the P100 offers a full suite of options to help you find the sound that’s right for you.
In the Melomania Connect control app, audio can be personalized to your listener’s tastes. A seven-band EQ can be used to manually adjust the sound to an astonishing degree of precision, while six presets tailored for a variety of music genres are also available.
The P100 supports Game Mode, which ensures near-perfect screen/sound sync when playing the latest games, and corrects sync issues with certain video content, with latency reduced to just 80 milliseconds.
All-day battery life and wearing comfort
The P100 offers up to 60 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC activated, and up to 100 hours with ANC off. That’s enough for a week of work calls or listening to music and podcasts by the hotel pool.
With just 5 minutes of quick charging, you can get an additional 2 hours of playback with ANC enabled or 4 hours without ANC enabled, and you’ll never be constrained by power again.
For an ultra-comfortable fit, the earcup cushions are made from carefully selected memory foam and covered in faux leather. We invested a lot of time and testing to choose the ideal clamping force for a wide range of head sizes.
Environmentally conscious
The new Melomania development gave us the opportunity to focus on using sustainable materials wherever possible. We introduced 50% recycled plastics and the P100 comes in 100% recyclable plastic-free packaging. Importantly, the P100’s battery and earcup cushions are replaceable to extend its life.
This effort to create a more sustainable product builds on Cambridge’s support as a founding donor to eco-music charity EarthPercent, co-founded by the iconic Brian Eno.
